Islamist fundamentalism and its impact on women

Date: Tuesday, 27 March 2018 19:30

Venue: The B-Bar, Barbican Theatre

We're delighted to welcome Sadia Hameed, spokesperson of the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain, as our March speaker.  She will be talking to us about Islamist fundamentalism and its impact on women. Sadia is an ex-muslim, secularist, and women's and human rights activist.

The Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain seeks to provide a safe haven for ex-Muslims in trouble and raise awareness about the problems surrounding apostasy, blasphemy, homophobia, sexism and other forms of repression, intolerance and discrimination in Islam. It organises and attends public protests and online campaigns for the human rights of ex-Muslims and other victims of Islamism

Instead of our usual voluntary contribution to cover speaker’s costs, the CEMB have asked we organise a collection to support their work.  Please give generously to this worthwhile cause.
